Heart and Soul

I know this isn't your typical blog but it's the form I chose to write so that I can tell you what things may be happening in my life. I would like to say hello to all my friends at Cabrini College. I look forward to seeing you at our class reunion. Where have all the years gone? And to all of you who are family and friends, sure hope we can get together this summer. This first blog is for the purposes of letting you know about my CD's that I have recorded.

"Heart and Soul" is my latest CD. It is dedicated in memory of my parents, Consolato and Teresa Battaglia. The cover features my parents, my brother, Antonio, his wife Joyce and their two children, Nicole and Emma, who are also our godchildren, my husband, Bob, and me. The selections are songs that have I enjoyed singing for many years. You will find Broadway, jazz, blues,country, Italian and Irish. Three spirituals, which feature myself and the choir that I sing with, are also included.

The first CD is "Peaceful Journey", which is a compilation of spiritual music for meditative purposes.

The second CD is "A Christmas Tradition" featuring Christmas and holiday favorites.

Each of the CDs have a narrative describing my journey of life through music.

My intention of doing these recordings is to share my spirit and soul with you and to raise monies for different charities. So far, with the three CDs that I have recorded, I have raised $21,000. The Kidney Foundation, The Cancer Society, The Heart Society, Cabrini College, Radnor, PA, My Brother's Keeper, North Easton, MA, The Charity Guild of Brockton, MA and Our Lady Lourdes Church of Brockton have all been recipients.
